NACETEM on Friday, 25th March, 2011 met with key S&T interest groups at a one-day roundtable workshop as part of the review of the National Science and Technology Policy being carried out by the Centre on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology (FMST).The roundtable which held at the Conference Hall of NACETEM’s headquarters situated in Obafemi Awolowo University had the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Dere Awosika and other experts in science and technology in attendance.

It would be recalled that the Agency had conducted series of stakeholders’ meetings in the past where the stakeholders made their inputs. The previous meetings had however produced a revised policy document which has been tagged ‘Draft 5’.The purpose of the roundtable was to look at the various components of the draft policy in details and garner support, receive further input and enhance collective ownership of the new STI Policy.
